All the websites I create use the award winning content management system Joomla.

What is Joomla
Joomla!
is a content management system platform for publishing content on the World Wide Web and intranets as well as a Model–view–controller (MVC) Web Application Development framework.

The system includes features such as page caching to improve performance, RSS feeds, printable versions of pages, news flashes, blogs, polls, website searching, and language internationalization.

It is written in the PHP programming language and uses the MySQL database system to store information. Joomla is the result of a fork of Mambo. Released under the terms of the GNU General Public License, Joomla is free software.

What is open source
Open source software — software whose source code is published and made available to the public, enabling anyone to copy, modify and redistribute the source code without paying royalties or fees. Open source code evolves through community cooperation. These communities are composed of individual programmers as well as very large companies.

What is PHP
PHP, is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development, to produce dynamic web pages. It can be embedded into HTML and generally runs on a web server, which needs to be configured to process PHP code and create web page content from it. It can be deployed on most web servers and on almost every operating system and platform free of charge.[2] PHP is installed on over 20 million websites and 1 million web servers.

Why do I only develop and customise open source PHP

Open source PHP script offer the highest level of customisation allowing you to create tailored websites and applications at amazing prices for your customers, because the customer is only paying for your time and not the entire development process. The majority of the sites I build for customers use the award wining Joomla CMS system.
